Developing countries will be the future market for Toyota. Largest car manufacturer in the world, investing heavily to focus on developing a car that fits the needs of consumers in developing countries.By providing a car that fits the needs of consumers, Toyota hopes to increase sales contribution of developing countries to 50% in 2015 from 45% this year.
In Brazil, Toyota expects to sell double in the next two years. For that Toyota built a new factory that will manufacture a compact car Etios. Toyota Etios will be manufactured at the new factory from September. Etios is a model specifically designed for emerging markets such as Brazil and India.
The plant became the third Toyota plant in Brazil and the fourth plant which will produce in 2015. Brazil is the fourth largest automotive market in the world, and the success of the country's samba will give major implications for global sales increase.
Currently, Toyota's market share in Brazil about 3%, so there is still enough room for Toyota to develop.
